Every once in a while, Takara-Tomy comes up something utterly bonkers. Case in point: Grand Galvatron, a combiner made up of characters from multiple continuities.

Following the fan-built bot vote in 2013, Hasbro did a series of fan votes in 2015 leading to the creation of Victorion, an all-female combiner with gravity manipulation powers and a cool sword.
Two cool things about the Combiner Wars Legends class:
- Some of them form extra weapons or armour for combiners.
- We got a toy of Marvel Comics character Scrounge.
Ultra Magnus in the IDW More than Meets the Eye comics was a great take on the character that added loads of fun new ideas. I hope future versions of Ultra Magnus take inspiration from him.
Combiner Wars is where Hasbro really started to revisit older characters in Generations, but it made sense - by now, the last release of some of these characters was a decade ago.
Combiner Wars shook things up by adding new members to the established combiner teams, to mixed fan reception.
Combiner Wars was an awesome line that brought the combiner Transformers into the Generations line. It was very heavy on redecos and retools, as demonstrated by the fact there are three Fireflight variants in these photos!

Galactic ManDeskbot today is the Elita-1 based Combiner, Elita Infinite!
I'm flying out to the US this Christmas so that left me with a dilemma. No point taking all my pressies with me, and waiting would be cruel and unusual, so the solution was simple; all this week I'm treating myself to one a day, Advent Calendar style!
Elita-1 (Elita One, not Minus One) and her two sisters-in-arms (#CombinerPun - see photo below) are my big gift to myself this year. 3/5ths of the girl-power combiner, Orthia, but who adopt the name Elita Infinite if paired with any other Transformers (Like Jazz and Wheeljack in the photos here). The fun thing about Elita Infinite is they are most likely to become some degree of non-binary Combiner (Nonbiner?), at least one fifth or her being female in any quintuple permutation. Gender-fluid combiner representation, hoooo!
It was fortunate finding Elita-1, Moonracer and Novastar all available from the same vendor, one of those nice Collecting happenstances that occurs now and again. They all have Toyhax stickers pre-applied too, adding to their visual and collector appeal. But only Primus knows if I'm ever likely to land the rare Lancer and the rarer-than-rare Greenlight to complete fabled Orthia.
