Hoy pensamos sobre individuales como Abraham Lincoln, quien buscaba un Union política y el fin de la esclavitud. Sin embargo veía los tribus indígenas como extranjeros peligrosos.

President Coolidge y su ley de ciudadanía de indígenas.

Caso extremo, Adolf Hitler, quien paradójicamente apoyaba indigenismo pan-germánico. También colonialismo racista y violento.

Columbus Day is still a federal holiday, though Indigenous Peoples Day has replaced it in over 100 cities and multiple states as of last year.
