Rome.

Seven years ago, I had the chance to explore Rome before attending a conference. On the first day, I walked about 25 kilometres. Of course, I took photos of the Colosseum and visited many other popular sights. But this photo captures the day best by far.

Today’s #PhotoSuggestion is to post something #picturesque. Of course, opinions may differ on that. If I’d sent a postcard that day, this is exactly the image I would have chosen.

Hanul lui Manuc eines der letzten historischen Wirtshäuser Bukarests. Der Bau von 1808 diente einst Händlern als Unterkunft und Handelsplatz, typisch für die sogenannten „Hanuri“. Der Innenhof und die umlaufenden Holzbalkone vermitteln noch heute ein Bild dieser Handelsarchitektur. Das Kopfsteinpflaster verstärkt den Eindruck eines Ortes, der sich dem schnellen Wandel entzieht.
