An interesting result has been stated as "The clones looked normal and lived as long as normal mice." in contrast to Dolly the Sheep who retained the genetic, cellular age of the parent sheep. Ie, if the parent was 14, Dolly was 14. Dolly would have died of old age prematurely. Though the embryo can partially repair some of the aging markers. Maybe de-aged 50%, give or take.

I also would argue against the summation that it is a ‘reproductive dead end.’ Even though indefinite cloning doesn’t appear possible, it’s still impressive how far it can go and apparently even late-gen clones could still theoretically reproduce sexually.
