Roma, 11 mag. - (Adnkronos) - “Questo viaggio si inserisce nel percorso avviato dalla Presidenza della Repubblica per sottolineare l'importanza degli 80 anni di vita costituzionale e repubblicana del nostro Paese”. Lo ha dichiarato Francesco Clementi, professore ordinario di Diritto pubblico italiano e comparato all'università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, intervenendo all'archivio storico del palazzo del Quirinale durante il primo appuntamento del ciclo di incontri dedicati agli 80 anni della Repubblica italiana, con la partecipazione della Fondazione Lottomatica. L'iniziativa rientra nelle celebrazioni legate al referendum istituzionale del 2 giugno 1946, che segnò la nascita della Repubblica italiana e l'avvio della storia democratica del Paese.
Clementi ha spiegato che il progetto nasce con l'obiettivo di approfondire, attraverso quattro appuntamenti, i temi centrali della storia costituzionale italiana e della sua evoluzione democratica. “Il primo incontro è dedicato alle origini della Repubblica insieme al professor Umberto Gentiloni. Poi ci sarà un secondo appuntamento con il professor Pietruzzella, giudice della Corte Costituzionale e grande conoscitore del diritto italiano ed europeo, che ci aiuterà a capire quanta Italia c'è in Europa e quanta Europa c'è in Italia”, ha affermato.
Il ciclo proseguirà nella seconda parte dell'anno con un incontro dedicato al rapporto tra Repubblica ed economia. “Questi 80 anni – ha osservato Clementi – sono stati non solo anni di diritti e doveri, ma anche di sviluppo economico, crescita e confronto”. L'ultimo appuntamento vedrà invece la partecipazione del presidente Giuliano Amato. “Sarà un momento di sintesi su che cosa significa essere italiani e su come si possa continuare a esserlo in un mondo che cambia”, ha concluso Clementi.

Rome, May 11 – (Adnkronos) – “This journey fits into the path initiated by the Presidency of the Republic to highlight the importance of the 80 years of constitutional and republican life of our country.” This was stated by Francesco Clementi, a professor of Italian and comparative public law at the University of Rome La Sapienza, speaking at the historical archive of the Quirinal Palace during the first appointment of the cycle of meetings dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic, with the participation of the Lottomatica Foundation. The initiative falls within the celebrations related to the 1946 institutional referendum on June 2nd, which marked the birth of the Italian Republic and the beginning of the country’s democratic history.
Clementi explained that the project was born with the aim of deepening, through four appointments, the central themes of the history of the Italian Constitution and its democratic evolution. “The first meeting is dedicated to the origins of the Republic together with Professor Umberto Gentiloni. Then there will be a second meeting with Professor Pietruzzella, judge of the Constitutional Court and a great connoisseur of Italian and European law, who will help us understand how much Italy there is in Europe and how much Europe there is in Italy,” he stated.
The cycle will continue in the second half of the year with a meeting dedicated to the relationship between the Republic and the economy. “These 80 years – Clementi observed – have not only been years of rights and duties, but also of economic development, growth and comparison.” The final appointment will instead see the participation of President Giuliano Amato. “It will be a moment of synthesis on what it means to be Italian and how it is possible to continue to be so in a changing world,” Clementi concluded.
