The Polish Dispatch
I know of only two public spaces here in Kraków where clematises were planted as part of planned greenery. One of them is a facade of a nearby university campus sports recreation building. Three varieties were planted: Paul Farges, Generał Sikorski, and Hagley Hybrid.
Here are the pictures I took recently of the latter two.

This is an orphaned clematis for which I do not have a photo of its label, and I was not able to match it against those labels I have. *
But it is not an excuse for not posting it here. Just look at it.
* I do have a strong suspicion, though, that it might be Raspberry Cream.

JanetI planted a clematis grandiflora about seven years ago. It completely vanished, as so many of my clematis do, but this year it finally decided it had established its rootstock. This is amazing! With my hand (a fairly small hand but still) for scale.
