Working half and quarter days on the homestead, so I just do tidying up, not worth dragging out a lot of stuff and work on a project.

But there's a lot of tidying to do. Could spend months just moving things from one place to another, sometimes repeatedly. But slow and steadily, the place actually gets tidier.

Mostly because I'm moving a lot of the junk behind the big barn where it's not so obvious, but also because like things get piled together instead of being in 12 different places.

The actual excavator job today. On the left is an old tractor service pit that used to have some wooden ramps leading to that massive steel frame with sketchy farm welds. You'd drive a tractor or something onto it and then work below, hoping it won't fall on you.

The wooden ramps had long rotted away but there was some concrete in there I wanted out, including some big square tiles.

Then I started filling it in with a nearby pile of soil. As I dig up more excess dirt, I'll fill this hole in until it's gone.

Still gotta haul out the steel frame first.

Also tore out the large Virginia creeper roots on the right while I was there. They're on that pile as well now.

More stuff I found shoved under the rafters of the beekeeping hut. A very rusty forged sickle blade.

And a scythe blade that must've been brand new when it was put there. That one had only thin rust on it, thanks to the roof.

Also a piece of engine fuel pipe and some modern aluminium antenna pieces.
