Well, trying something out, was working on possibly modding #Sonic1 so it can be accessible to us. Actually made it pretty far actually. added in some things for a prox indecator for obstacles, spikes, walking sounds for Sonic when your not holding the down arrow to roll in to a ball and pick up speed, really interesting for sure. I actually made it pretty far in the game thus far, made it to act 3 of Green Hill zone with what I've got now. Its definitely a work in progress and I have to work within the limitations of the Genesus hardware since that's what the emulator is emulating, and there will be probably a lot of level memorization required just because of the way things have to work given the limitations of the sounds that can be played all at once, but hey, it works though and that's a start. yes, I did use #Claud to #VibeCcode this, and I'm super far from even attempting to let people try it, heck, I have no idea right now what will happen when I do get past act 3 in to the boss level, let alone any of the other levels in the game, so its gonna have to be probably months before I do anything with it release-wise, but I'm definitely working on it though. I want to work on all 3 of the original Sonic games. Also, as a #blind person, I learned a whole lot about how #Sonic moves. I had no idea for example that Sonic does walk when you move to the right, but if you hold down, he rolls in to a ball and rolls across the map to pick up speed, or just how important momentum is in this game, because without it, you will get stuck in the level, so much to learn, but I do think its worth the attempt. Plus, I made it to 1/3 which is more than I've ever made it in a Sonic game before. Any #Modders out there who mod Sonic, if you want to work with me on this, I'm more than happy to do that with you. I also probably will need sighted people to watch me play Sonic so they can understand better than I can where I'm going wrong as I also try to memorize the levels while I play test each build of the modded Rom. Its really fun though and I am a huge Sonic fan, so the fact I can already make it to Act 3 of Green Hill zone is super awesome to me for sure. #Gaming #RetroGaming #AI
