In this engaging interview, Talila A. Lewis argues that ableism has deep implications for every other marginalized identity. In short, ableism, according to Lewis, is at the root of other powerful hegemonic sites — from race and class to colonialism and nationality. Jo teď jsem zjistil - oni dle mého názoru v zásadě vybrali bezdomovce, kterým se vede nejlépe, dali jim prachy a pak zjistili, že se jim vede relativně dobře (i když průměrný plat 15 000 Kč - nevím kdo z toho dokáže v českém režimu vyžít). Takže podle mě studie na nereprezentativním vzorku předem vybraném tak, aby to vyšlo.

V Česku se uskutečnil unikátní sociální experiment, který přináší konkrétní data místo domněnek. Projekt New Leaf Česko, realizovaný organizací Neposeda, poskytl vybraným lidem bez domova jednorázovou finanční podporu 100 tisíc korun – bez podmínek. Výsledky ročního výzkumu přitom ukazují, že důvěra a cílená pomoc mohou mít měřitelný dopad.
