今日はネーメ・ヤルヴィの誕生日。1937年、エストニアのタリン生まれ。当時はソ連領。

彼が日本で知られる様になったのは、BISの一連のシベリウスの録音が国内に入ってきてからかな。その後BISやシャンドスレーベルの輸入CDが流通する様になって、知名度を上げていったと個人的には認識している。

今年でもう89歳か。今どうされているのかな。
