I love the way these two reclining figures on the Cochrane Street facade of the City Chambers in Glasgow are rather nonchalantly holding up the outer ends the central garlands while they remain more focused on their own activities.

The entrance to the City Chambers on George Square in Glasgow decorated for Christmas 2023. When I was a kid, going along to see the lights on George square was one of my favourite things to do. That and going to the Carnival at the Kelvin Hall.

The former municipal buildings for the City of Glasgow and the County of Lanarkshire on Wilson Street in Glasgow. Designed by Clarke and Bell in a neo-Greek style, it was built in 1842. The Glasgow City Council moved out of this building in 1889 when the new City Chambers were opened in George Square.
