Absolute lack of empathy and full on judgemental (religious) attitude.
I may not agree with the life choices these women made, but that is no ground for ostracising them from their nationaliity and their rights as citizens

I’m unsure if those citizen rights are codified anywhere in the Constitution. They are more likely to be enacted in law and hence subject to legal interpretation by the Courts. Therefore, those women and their children ought to have access to Australian Courts with legal representation and not be trialed by political pressers. I have always been dubious of the way legal power is vested in Ministerial portfolios (a UK legacy I gather).
