Big High Five to the #citibike
employee clearing the bikes at 38th Street this morning. Doing a great job, trying to be helpful, when an asshole fintechbro type cusses him out. The fintechbro then swears, tries to dock in an encased dock, breaks the Citibike, tries to pick a fight with the Citibike employee, breaks the Citibike by throwing it to the ground, threatening to fight the employee yet again... then bikes off without a few pieces of the bike. Hope he gets charged the WHOLE amount + some for that bike. Also, thank you Citibike employee for trying to be helpful even in the face of these fintechbro assholes! #bikeNYC

I remember my first #ebike ride. It was fall 2020, we were avoiding the subway, and I needed Thai chilies for a recipe. I decided to take a first gen #citibike ebike (blue steel frame) from Queens to the #ktown H-Mart in Manhattan, via the #QueensboroBridge

It blew my mind. Specifically the human-electric hybrid aspect. The harder I pedaled, the faster I went. Except faster. And over the bridge. Was lucky to get the same bike for the return trip. #bikenyc
