Praise! Our university just announced that they will ditch the #Citavi campus license, and our university library finally offers regular #Zotero trainings. They will even offer special guides for the switch. (Unfortunately, they will not offer a @zotero cloud storage contract and even discourage the use of the cloud due to unresolved formal GDPR issues. 😕)

Update: Offensichtlich liegt es an der Campuslizenz... Warum und was genau weiß man nicht. 🤷‍♀️ Fachbereichs - IT konnte nicht helfen. Naja, jetzt darf ich morgen halt den ganzen Tag am Campus sein, weil ich nur noch da Zugriff habe. Nix mehr mit Home Office arbeiten. 😩

Hat hier jemand viel Erfahrung mit Lizenzgedöns bei Citavi?
Ich bin leicht am verzweifeln, weil ich mich nicht mit der Uni Lizenz anmelden kann.
Support gibt es ja bei Citavi keinen und unsere IT kann nicht helfen.
Please help! 🙏😩

Wow how could anybody think the web version of #citavi is a good alternative to using zotero for example if you are not on Windows 😬

It just constantly bugs away the PDFs while reading or sometimes does not sync all references...

#Citavi legt die Daten einfach als sqlite-Datei ab - insofern kann man durchaus mit dem sqlitebrowser drauf gucken, wenn man das blöde Programm nicht mehr hat. Und eigentlich denke ich: Eine einfache Oberfläche dafür zu bauen, kann doch nicht so schwer sein.

Geht es noch anderen so, dass die Uni die #Citavi -Lizenz beendet und jetzt der Umstieg ansteht? Problem bei #Zotero : Die Zuordnung von Wissenselementen (Zitate, Paraphrasen) zu Kategorien ist nicht möglich. Hat da jemand eine Lösung für?

Wrote a backup of the last #windows10 #vm and transferred to my #zfs-#ghostbsd box. And then deleted it from the #fedora host. Didn’t touch the system for month since I switched from #citavi to #zotero. Away with that time consuming bullshit os. It took more time to wait for installing updates then having worked with. Not regarding the stupidity of how to upgrade to #windows11. Bye, and now back to work;)
