The robot, an autonomous ocean glider from New England, is attempting to become the first to circle the globe. The glider dives and climbs in slow, sawtooth zigzags, sometimes a kilometer down. If it makes it home in about five years, Redwing will become the first autonomous underwater vehicle to #circumnavigate the globe.
