Here's 3 albums that I've talked a bit about before that have not only gotten me through a whole heck of a lot but also got me into more alternative music in general.
Without these and the work of Klayton (Celldweller) and Klank, I wouldn't have even given bands like mewithoutYou or Starflyer 59 the time of day.
So with that, I definitely thank the Lord I discovered 'em at a time when it was most needed.

Another album (and artist) that's really gotten me through some tough times throughout the year.
Highly recommend checking out Circle of Dust, especially if you're into Celldweller (it was his band beforehand), electronic, and industrial metal.
