Finished chunky sweater from heavily modified etsy pattern. Rowan Big Big Wool in Shadow, size US 19 and US 17 circulars. Made larger gap for armholes then picked up 3 sts, used hand to create upsidedown triangle ending in 5 live sts to pick up for sleeves to make armpit less bulky. did decreases on top edges of sleeves because having the decreases on bottom edges created bumps that were not comfortable. Wool is very soft even against bare arms. tried using knitpro circulars but the cables are too stiff and curl too much, hard to knit with, so used chiagoo (sp?) circulars. Question for fellow knitters: anyone use knitpro circulars and if so is there a way to make the cables less stiff and get them to straighten? experimenting with doubled Rowan Big Wool, big circular knitting needles US 15, US 17 and an etsy chunky sweater knitting pattern “for beginners” that my niece told me about (she is thinking of trying to knit it as her first knitting project!). Its definitely fun to knit up a lot of fabric so quickly and Big Wool is 100% merino so its very soft and nice to the touch.
