Wie inszeniert man einen Stoff, dessen Bilder schon tief im kollektiven Gedächtnis der Menschheit verankert sind? Wie kann man sich dieser Geister entledigen, etwas eigenes schaffen oder auch „nur“ Erwartungen unterlaufen? Das sind Fragen, die sich dieser Film offenbar erst gar nicht erst stellt. Stattdessen wird hier fast ausschließlich mit generischen (und generierten) Abziehbildern gearbeitet, die sich qualvoll immer und immer wiederholen (müssen). Der Film verliert hier gegen sein eignes Vorhaben, die Leerstellen des Stoffes zu füllen. Denn die Erkenntnis ist: Der Horror vom in unsere Welt eingeschlichenen Bösen kann sich im Dracula-Mythos auch so gut ausbreiten, weil immer wieder
