Sustainable Coastlines and Tip Top Trumpet invite you to come along to New Brighton, Christchurch this ANZAC Day public holiday, Monday 27th April, for an awesome beach clean-up of this stunning coastline. So don’t be shy — grab your whānau and mates and give back to our beautiful moana. We’ll start from 10am, heading onto the beach for the clean-up, then end with Trumpet ice creams on us.

After recent media stories about butterfly declines in New Zealand, centred around one transect in Nelson, it's heartening to see in Stacey Lewthwaite's graphs that kahukura and monarch butterflies have not declined around Christchurch. That's in the last two decades along my 78 km of transects.

@phlogiston Not sure if it might help, but I used this site (https://pvwatts.nlr.gov/) to estimate solar generation potential during my research before committing to installing rooftop #solar in #Christchurch. It even breaks down estimates to the hour of the day, over a year, if you’re willing to interrogate the CSV data it generates at the end. Lots of variables you can set, including panel orientation and tilt angle, etc. Fun for the whole family.

Kia ora all, I've just started a really cool new job at the end of last year as a tutor for Brain Play! We teach STEM subjects to groups of kids, and do 1:1 tutoring of #neurodivergent children too.

I'm AuDHD, so I empathise so much with the kids I get to work with.
