TL;DR: Anyone know where I can find a choral arrangement of Buffalo Springfield's For What it's Worth?

I'm typing through tears (happy ones?): My fucking KID. She's 14 and 3 days ago said she wants to protest ICE by convincing her high school choir (not the HS choir, just one of them) to sing For What it's Worth as a surprise number at the next school choir concert as a protest.

We are dominant-culture, mostly, and middle class. My daughter's mother is Canadian, openly gay, and very uncertain about the future. My daughter is scared, but wants to do something.

We live in a "blue" state but in a very "red" area: confederate flags, lots of MAGA shirts and stickers and signs, dirty looks when I wear a mask in the grocery store. She knows that, if they pull this off, they'll be singing to a largely hostile audience, to the extent that they understand the protest. She understands it's likely she and anyone else involved will be suspended and lose opportunities at school, in addition to the blowback from the hundreds of openly MAGA, pro-Trump, pro-ICE kids she goes to school with. I'm frankly terrified for her, because asshole kids--as horrible and violent as they can be--are not the worst consequence I can imagine.

She's texting and calling friends, discussing options, reading about protests and civil disobedience, and raging in her generally-pretty-quiet way. She wants to get the whole little choir on board. The kids who are in on this so far want to protect the director (who is also gay and has been the target of some pretty vicious harassment) from consequences by not telling him what they plan to do.

She's hoping to find an SAT or SATB arrangement. They could sing unison, but they're actually quite good teen musicians and want to do more. My searching so far has not found any choral arrangements, but I am not sure I am looking in the right places.

If you know where to find this, or have ideas of where I should look, please drop me a hint.

Last night's first Cantiamo Sonoma concert went pretty well, I'd say.

I'd forgotten how unnerving and exposed-feeling it can be to sing in a small unaccompanied vocal group in front of a full house. Been a very long time since I've sung in a group this small. I love it, but it's challenging!

I think we started out well and then for some reason lost some confidence about mid-way through. Not sure why. And I think we were singing too loud, in general. But the audience seemed to really like the performance.

And now of course today I am sick. A cold, I think, but very annoying. Taking it VERY easy (despite having lots of work to do and Christmas prep to do!) in hopes of shaking it by the next concert tomorrow night.
