You can’t authoritarian a virus away. It amazes me how badly the Chinese govt has handled this #covid pandemic.

The entire point of lock downs is to buy time to come up with a plan - vaccinations, treatments, IMPROVED VENTILATION SYSTEMS (which much of the world also skipped over). But they just opened up in a completely chaotic way. After three years of economic and emotional damage. #chineesenewyear #china
