Now #Chaser is eating & the rest of the flock have taken up shady positions under the tree.

The #wind is now howling.

I won’t be surprised if they all move out of the wind & take up sheltered positions along the fence line somewhere.

My #domes over the #peas & #ChileanGuava are rocking violently. So far the #groundcontrol #tentpegs are holding them down. 🤞

I just picked some of the Chilean guava berries 😍

I love this plant (Ugni molinae) and highly recommend if you don’t already grow it! It’s an attractive shrub and the berries, ready in autumn, have an unusual but delicious floral flavour. I freeze them and use in baking.

I started picking the Chilean guava today 😍 Highly recommend to home gardeners who don’t have it already!

It’s a lovely small evergreen shrub laden with berries that ripen in autumn (when they turn from dark to light red they’re ready).

The berries have an unusual floral flavour. Not everyone likes them but I reckon they’re delicious! Great in jam, baking and to eat fresh. They freeze well too.
