Despite that being rather pivotal as to whether Begin's excuse to blow him up makes any sense, given every other 17 year old Irgun member sentenced to death for terrorism got their death sentence downgraded to prison.

The British did an early version of the #WarOnTerror but they at least didn't officially execute kids, it wasn't still the executions became "targeted killings" in the 21st century that being an adult stopped mattering.

Really, blowing up a 17½ year old on your own side is not much different to blowing up an 18 year old on your own side, but it IS different is your excuse was that the British were going to execute him anyway and they didn't execute any other 17½ year olds.
