Wild chicory (Cichorium intybus) growing on the corner of our house.

I find it beautiful, local bees and other insects too. It grows from cracks in the pavement, was never watered.

Neighbors complain about it behind our back. The plant that grew last summer in the same spot was secretly killed by one of them.

Classic small town people vs. city people moving to small towns conflict.

I wonder if putting up some education material and a small fence would help...
