This is just a basic recipe from the 1978 Better Homes & Gardens Complete Step By Step Cookbook. Then after following the recipe we add salt, coarse black pepper, white pepper, parsley, garlic powder (like enough to take out a vampire), onion powder, and poultry seasoning. It's very good just like that, but we add more herbs and seasonings depending on the soup recipe we use it for.
