Wowww! We have been struggling with the costs of a restrictive diet since the baby has food intolerances and I'm #chestfeeding. Last month, several ppl used my referral link for Thrive Market and I just got the kickback! I was able to spend $120 on staples when we're 9 days away from EBT reloading.
Omfg I can't believe I found these at the food bank!! Dairy-free alternatives can be SO expensive... on top of the ridiculous costs of food right now π
Local food banks have had to implement appointment systems because they get so many attendees. I actually set up today's appointment weeks ago. So grateful to have these resources + the excellent finds that turn up now and then!
Going dairy-free for baby has been challenging but so worth it for their health + happiness π§
don't you love when you wake up to feed the baby for the fourth or fifth time in the night and realize that you smell like sour milk because you've been wearing the same nursing pads since yesterday morning?

That way I can consistently catch and store the letdown on the other side during feeds... and not stay up til 2 am loading the dishwasher just so I'll have enough milk on hand to be able to leave home without the baby.

Crying babies trigger the hormonal pathway for the letdown reflex. #Cats #meow at the same frequency as a crying baby (very specifically the hungry cry). The MOST milk I have ever pumped was while listening to a #yogscast #jinglecats stream (for those who don't know, christmas song covers done in cat meows).
