Con un post sul suo social Truth, il presidente ha licenziato la segretaria alla Sicurezza nazionale, sostituita da un altro “falco” anti-migranti, il senatore dell’Oklahoma Markwayne Mullin, un cherokee esperto di arti marziali. Il cambio della guardia avverrà il 31 marzo. Trump ha lodato Noem per il suo “grande impegno” e i “numerosi e spettacolari risultati“, annunciando il suo nuovo incarico: sarà inviata speciale per “The Shield of the Americas“, una nuova iniziativa di sicurezza nell’emisfero occidentale che verrà presentata sabato in Florida.
