Today in the classroom:
First year chem fell apart on yesterday's test. Like, badly. We're going to have some hard conversations today in class about what needs to happen to get back on track, especially athletes who need to remain eligible. Everyone retests on Thursday.
Second year had a rough review day, so they also had some hard conversations about how to prepare for difficult tests. They get grace, we'll do one more review day and test tomorrow.
Back to school today after a surprise snow day yesterday. I didn't sleep well, even with the long weekend, so I'm going to power through the day today.
First year chem is doing test review over the atomic structure. Test tomorrow.
Second year chem will be analyzing PES diagrams to connect empirical data with the electron structure theory.
Why is Gareth feeling so smug?
Is chemistry the new mechanics?
And is sodium the new wheat?

Oh god this list is just a list of scars on my soul.
Also, seems like one of those "you get a point for each one of these you've had to use"

Why one might expect that *not all* the CO2 being produced by humanity (by burning "fossil fuels", "biofuels", "woodfuel", etc) would be reflected directly by an equal rise in atmospheric CO2 content?
