I was away for a few weeks because life got in the way. Last week I took my sketchbook and ventured out to start sketching again. To keep things easy and light weight I only brought a charcoal pencil that I had lying around in my studio. Hadn't used it much and decided to give it a go. Now I'm hooked.

I just finished this charcoal drawing. I call it “Slow Jams” for obvious reasons. I got the idea for it while sketching snails in my sketchbook just for some practice. I wouldn’t be able to move on to something else before getting this idea out of my head by putting it to paper. Any thoughts on it?

I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out, myself.
