A #stupa, or #cetiya, is a fancy memorial structure built to hold relics of #Buddhas or #Arahants. This is common across all forms of #Buddhism.

Today's stupa is #Mirisawetiya stupa in #Anuradhapura, #SriLanka. Like many stupas, this one was built by a #Buddhist king. Read more on Wikipedia:
