Recorded in 2022, it is in proximity to the Atlantic Forest that I find myself inspired and driven to conclude shaping this album.

Der iberische Rothirsch (Cervus elaphus hispanicus) wurde in der Nähe meines Zuhauses gesichtet, auf der Herdade do Sobroso, einem wunderschönen, weitläufigen Ort mit vielen wilden und prächtigen Tieren. Das Röhren (Brama) ist noch aus großer Entfernung zu hören. Die Brunftzeit beginnt im August, wenn es noch sehr heiß ist.
Bei meinen Recherchen über dieses Tier erfuhr ich, dass zwei portugiesische Legenden erzählen, der Teufel habe sich im Körper dieses kräftigen Tieres wiedergeboren, das versucht habe, zwei edle Gestalten in den Abgrund und in einen Abgrund zu stoßen. Dies hängt wahrscheinlich damit zusammen, dass der Rothirsch ein Symbol heidnischer Verehrung ist.

I'm no deerologist, but I think this is the second generation of deer siblings we've seen at our "trailer-cabin".

Three years ago I put up a camera so we could check the weather before driving there. We're still hoping to see other animals.
