An earlier article by the health editor conflates #placentaAccreta - stuck down, grown deep - with #placentaPraevia - grown across the internal opening of the #cervix and thus going to be torn in labour.
#Praevia is looked for, and low-lying placenta is a reason to call women back for one or several further looks to make sure it isn't across that #os

If it is, that's an indication for #CaesareanSection before onset of #labour

This is difficult stuff, and needs careful writing.

...so, since we started HPV testing and HPV immunisation a while later than #Australia there is almost certainly something we can do with any effort, time, and money we can raise that will be more effective than starting "cervical smears" younger.

Anyone who is worried about their #cervix should tell their doctor, and get it looked at. That isn't screening.

And get immunised.
