Last night the storm shook the tree until all the branches were bare. Marking the start of kayak picking season.

As per tradition local children will be out early gathering them up and preparing them for tomorrow’s great Jam Fest at the Skibbereen Farmer’s Market.

Slightly salty & fibrous.
Kayak Jam is a local delicacy.

When #SouthAustralia declared their moratorium against #GMcrops would be lifted, boost the use of toxic #herbicides and #pesticides in #Australia we became highly concerned.

We've just learned that the 11 councils on the mainland that applied to keep the ban in place were all rejected. Terrible news.
