If you ever need to get an LetsEncrypt certificate, but can't run the usual http challenge and don't want to or can't directly edit the domain you are working with, to run the dns challenge, there is still hope:

You can delegate a _acme-challenge subdomain onto a different dns server and use that to run certbot on.
