Each of these artists brings something extraordinary to the world of ceramics—whether it’s through texture, form, or sheer emotional power. Their work reminds me why I love pottery: because clay isn’t just a material; it’s a way to tell stories, capture moments, and connect with the earth.
I mostly throw on the wheel these days, but I also enjoy hand building and all the futzing that's involved with that.
These two projects, a guitar pic box and necklace pendants, combine both metal and pottery!
The box was a commission from my bandmate in The Manifest Process, and the DRUNE pendants are freebies to send along in merch orders.
The box is covered in Mayco black engobe, not yet fired.
The pendants are covered in various Amaco celedons.
Toe beans! My wife (the real artist) had to show me how to do the cat paws. This was my first solo attempt.
