KOSA has been amended, and it still poses a great risk to LGBTQ+ and marginalized communities, while posing as a bill designed to protect kids from predatory acts.
It is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
It will obliterate LGBTQ+ resources, as well as resources on mental wellness, teen addiction help, reproductive health, youth activism...
It effectively forces sites, ISPs and platforms to censor legitimate context out of fear that certain political actors can misconstrue the content on any given day, and proceed with legal actions on what was misconstrued.
It's openly vague, and written to silence.
Censorship is bad.
