So I did the first exercise: 'The Celtic Cultural Continuum' from 'The Book of Celtic Magic' by Kristoffer Huges (ISBN 978-0-7387-3705-8) for the first time.
I went out into the garden and stood barefoot on a patch of grass. The ground was cold and slightly wet, which actually helped me visualise and feel the coolness of the stream.
I immediately felt connected to the earth. I have to admit I felt a little distracted and self-conscious so I don't feel like I was able to fully immerse myself in the experience. However at one point, very briefly I could feel a connection and calling or acknowledgment from my ancestry.
Definitely want to try this again soon.

Pagan Book Recommendation: "The Book of Celtic Magic" by Kristoffer Hughes. This book helped me through a serious crisis of faith last year. Unlike many other books on the topic it's treatment of Celtic history and folklore is accurate, unsenationalistic and grounded in real and meaningful magical practice.
