Beautiful ~24 minute interview with Jane Goodall. (Scroll down to the audio)

She said things she wouldn't normally say, she says. Matt Galloway brought it out of her.

Yet another reason *noticing* punctuation is important: while "AI" is clearly proliferating into every nonsensical digital nook and cranny, it is NOT infected with bird flu.

Danielle Smith Says the Darndest Things | The Tyee

A quick fact check of what Alberta’s premier told Matt Galloway on CBC’s 'The Current' last week.

The Tyee
#cbcthecurrent I like my chicken crispy and now I should like it #crisper ?
More on MAID in #cbcthecurrent today. Guest with mental illness says the real problem is underfunding of mental health by successive govts. So he's πŸ’― saying maid is the 'easy' political (ie cheapest) option. He also said his contacts want maid as an option, not nec a must- have.
Re convo on #cbcthecurrent about MAID - one silver lining about dementia is that type A prickly relatives can become more 'loveable.' When ppl are less mobile, we don't off then bc they can't sprint any more. Some instructions to carry out MAID would be control freak ppl still manipulating ppl. Case by case limited basis is still the way to go.
Correction that's #cbcthecurrent

Sad to report that the last of four 🐝 colonies of 2022 finally gave up during the recent cold snap.
After the hammering they took from the wasps in the long autumn, I'm surprised they lasted this long.
There are some stores to salvage.

Among remarks from Order of Canada recipient Evelyn Forget on #CBCTheCurrent this morning, I appreciated particularly perspective shared from overwintering #honeybees - resilience and taking a long view.

The extraordinary Canadians newly appointed to the Order of Canada; and Wes Hall on helping other Black entrepreneurs emulate his success | The Current with Matt Galloway | Live Radio | CBC Listen

We're ushering in the new year with some of the newest appointees to the Order of Canada β€” Canadians who've dedicated their lives to the pursuit of extraordinary things. Matt Galloway talks to health economist Evelyn Forget, who has advanced anti-poverty policies across Canada and around the world; Michael Schmidt, a photographer and geophysicist who worked on the beginnings of our current GPS systems; and Kevin Blackmore, Wayne Chaulk, and Raymond Johnson, who make up the musical comedy trio Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers. And Wes Hall was raised by his grandmother in a tin-roof shack in Saint Thomas, Jamaica, before moving to Canada as a teenager and working to become one of the country’s most successful corporate leaders. In a conversation from October, he tells us about his memoir, No Bootstraps When You're Barefoot: My Rise from a Jamaican Plantation Shack to the Boardrooms of Bay Street.

Good morning, and good luck.

This small seaside community could be home to Canada's first spaceport. But not everyone is on board | CBC Radio

In the idyllic, seaside community of Canso, N.S., two challenges stand in the way of a new spaceport that would launch rockets carrying communications satellites into orbit over the Atlantic Ocean: vocal opposition dampening excitement over the potential for new jobs and tourist dollars, and the need for millions more in funding.
