Love this homage to the Jeely Piece Song from A Sign of Humour on Dougrie Place in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

Written by Adam McNaughtan in the 1960s, the Jeely Piece Song is a critique of widescale demolition of Glasgow's traditional tenements and their replacement by high rise flats. Sixty years later, and many of the tenements which survived are still standing, while many of the high rise flats are now gone

King of the Castle on Dougrie Place in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow. Created by Kenny Hunter, in collaboration with members of the Castlemilk Writers' Group, in 1999, it features a young boy wearing a cape and looking off into the diatance from the top of a large dome. Known locally as The Boy Wonder, it was originally sited on a roundabout on Fernhill Road, but it now stands on a hill amongst some of the areas 1960s tower blocks, looking out across the city.

The octagonal tower of the Castlemilk House Stables in the south of Glasgow. Attributed to David Hamilton, they were built around 1800. The house itself was demolished in 1972, and after being damaged by a fire in 1994, the stables lay abandoned for just over a decade. However, in 2005 they were renovated and converted into a multi-purpose community building by Elder and Cannon for the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust.
