Yesterday Lone released Hyperphantasia. #NowListening #Bandcamp
In his own words:

“Hyperphantasia is: Unhinged, unrestrained, self-indulgent bat-shit pop music from an alternate dimension. A beautiful, synthetic hall of mirrors head rush... Like taking every style I've worked with amping them up to 11 and firing them off a cliff”

An absolute banger and there is only one #CassetteTape left!

Still going with killing the music industry little by little - I’m very pleased with the player. It’s not a Sony (they are all Walkman to me) but sounds really good. Gave it a thorough clean and changed belts and it’s great. Very loud!

I’m 6 albums down so far. #cassettes #CassetteTape #HomeTapingIsKillingMusic

As my 80s Walkman is on its way, I’m spending this afternoon sipping the odd whiskey and building a metal collection in the form of recording tapes from apple music 😄

Starting with Megadeth. 🤘

Stromberry Blue is an alternative pop band from Pontianak, Indonesia. They released their debut album in cassette tape titled "See You Darling" in mid-to-late 2025. It was an exclusive release that it was a cassette-only release with no online streaming available. However, they have released digital version on Bandcamp in early 2026, ending the album cassette exclusivity. The cassette is released by "dirtwaverekods", a small Pontianak-based independent record label.

Decided last night to let somebody else enjoy the W.A.R. tape player and sold it almost immediately on eBay. I’ve now ordered a proper old unit from the 80s. Going to clean it up, new belts etc, and listen like it’s 1984. #CassetteTape #walkman

> I think I even owned that on tape

I definitely owned Happy Hour on tape, and a couple of other King Missile albums too if I remember rightly.

There was a time when I only bought tapes and refused to get a CD player. But then indie bands I liked started releasing album as CD-only, many of them burned at home. Which made me revise my opinion and embrace the CD as a DIY music disruption medium.
