At least I found the time for a little #Rocket science today, before I now have to prepare for tonight's money making monkey business. 🤪

I used a #sequencer in #vcvRack to control this #WaldorfRocket. The tiny #MIDI keyboard in the back plays #DecentSampler in #Carla on #UbuntuStudio #Linux.

The #piano is a #Schiedmayer from the 1940ties which I promised myself to play much more, it's such an incredibly nice instrument. (I sold my digital piano, and didn't continue using PianoTeq… forget about it.)

Buddy of mine fell in love with Live Professor. Since then been thinking of using kx Carla as a waves soundgrid alternative.

Not the best ui for multiple tracks but routing should work.

But, latency? Stability? snapshots? Want to be under 5ms (<3ms even better). Aaand can i use Win VST with yabridge in Linux in realtime?

Anyone using Carla for live sound on linux?

i understand the struggles of programing an open source stuff so awesome like carla, that maybe or probably you shouldn't bother the coder who is doing a hard work, for real, maybe getting a burnout...

but seriously i want to learn, experiment, play. dead silence in the room for 2 hours and i ask around the net for solution.

any effect loaded just appears on the rack not on the patchbay which makes it impossible to do anything. to try how it sounds?! i tried with jack and with both jack and midi restarting the service.
