¿Es normal que me ponga brutisimo el #CardDAV? Me la pone súper dura sincronizar mis contactos con un protocolo estándar sin pasar por cojones por #Google; para la mayoría de personas con #Android es así y desconocen totalmente este protocolo.

Android tiene totalmente extirpado CardDAV y tienes que usar una aplicación de terceros como DAVx5.

Si ofrece este protocolo es sus servidores en la nube para sincronizar "con terceros". En su mundo es un iPhone que sí lo trae.

This is especially important for CalDAV/CardDAV, where we want to bring (near-)real-time synchronization (which is nowadays industry standard for proprietary protocols) also to CalDAV/CardDAV clients.

Anyone elses #Thunderbird (version 150) unable to connect to #Nextcloud #CalDAV calendar?

Copilot suggested running with logs: MOZ_LOG="calendar.caldav:5,nsHttp:3" thunderbird

My Thunderbird doesn't send the "Authorization: Basic.." header, which is why i'm only getting 401 Unauthorised responses. Same problem with #CardDAV address books. My Nextcloud server logs tell the same story.

I've noticed this issue after the recent big #Manjaro #Linux update.

And as usual, Nextcloud can't do something logically or normal, or at all really.

Nothing is compatible with the apps around it. Nothing integrates or works as expected.

How the hell do I share contacts between users (android/mac...)

I keep my contacts in a #CardDAV address book on my own #Baikal #DAV server, and my Betterbird email app has no problem accessing this.

What it can't do is merge 2 contacts!

It's 2026, we almost have flying cars, how is merging contacts not possible?

Was zuletzt geschah:

✅ #PayPal gekündigt und gelöscht.

✅ Kalender + Kontakte aus #iCloud befreit. Werden jetzt mit #DAVx5 per #CalDav und #CardDav auf meinen Geräten ( #Linux + #GrapheneOS ) synchronisiert.

✅ Fotos aus #iCloud befreit. Werden jetzt erstmal lokal gespeichert und gesichert. Evtl. folgt hier noch eine andere Lösung mit #Immich oder #ente.io.
