Stupidity is knowing the truth, but still believing the lies. And that is more infectious than any other disease.

Good Morning #Canada
The 18th river in our countdown is the Albany River, known to the Cree as Kistachowan, which flows northeast from Lake St. Joseph in Northwestern Ontario and empties into James Bay. It is 982 kilometres long, tying it with the Severn River for the title of longest river entirely in Ontario. Dropping 371 m along it's length, and draining a watershed of 135,200 km2, it is one of the most pristine rivers in Ontario and a draw for serious #Canoe and #Fishing enthusiasts. Albany River Provincial Park protects the headwaters and a only a limited number of lodges are allowed on the river, which is known for its Pike, Trout and Walleye fishing excursions.
The river was named after James, Duke of York and Albany, who later became King James II of England. The land north of the Albany River was part of the Northwest Territories until 1912, when it was transferred to Ontario in the Ontario Boundaries Extension Act, 1912.
