The #Canes haven't had a game in almost two weeks.

They didn't love some of their starts in the series against Philly.

Being ready to roll right off the opening puck drop tonight feels especially imperative.

"Use the energy of the building. It's one of the loudest arenas in the league. [We need to] use that to our advantage," Shayne Gostisbehere said. "Simple plays. Everyone knows where the puck is going, right? The first five [minutes], it's going deep. [We need to] get our forecheck going and get the way we play going."

For the first time since May 9, the #Canes will play hockey tonight.

Everything looks routine at morning skate for a group that I'm sure is eager to get to 8 p.m.

The #Canes have signed 2024 third-round pick Noel Fransen to a three-year, entry-level contract.

20 years young, the defenseman has continued to develop nicely over the last two years.

With some strong offensive abilities, he played 13 games in the SHL this past season.
