This drop in the population bucket made up 19% of all federal campaign donations in 2024.

Back before Citizen's United in 2010, billionaires made up a far more reasonable .3% of such donations (which is still pulling 1000x their weight).

SCOTUS has ruled that corporations have a "first amdendment right" to essentially unlimited political contributions. Corporations, however, exist only with the permission of individual states. This is a plan to limit or eliminate corporate political contributions, including through superPACs, by limiting the legal powers of corporations at the state level (i.e., prohibiting or limiting political contributions).
