We have quite a few #camellia trees growing as hedging, and at this time of year they're covered in cheerfully blousy blooms. But we also have a small row of these exquisite ones, which have been shy of blooming the last few years but may be making up for it this season.

There are about 300 accepted species of Camellia, less than a dozen have a pleasant scent; the rest smell like wet newspaper. Yes, she really does smell of cinnamon.
