My favorite #soda #pop #SoftDrink is undoubtedly #Calpis #Calpico soda, from Japan. When I was a child, it was Coca-Cola, but from the first time I encountered Calpis soda as an adult, I was hooked.

Unfortunately for me, I cannot buy it anywhere in my town, and even if I could, it's outrageously expensive in the US. The best I can do is buy Calpis concentrate and mix that with seltzer.

They call it "Calpico" in the US, because of course "Calpis" sounds a lot like "cow piss" in English.

MMMmmmm...I got a whole litre of #Calpis / #Calpico concentrate and some bottles of seltzer. Much cheaper than buying individual cans. Too bad we have no home carbonator, or I wouldn't even need to buy seltzer. #CowPissSoda

I love that Grocery Outlet in Bishop carries such random things. Today, they had my favorite drink - Calpico, original flavor. When I was a boy in Japan, it was only sold as a concentrated syrup that you would mix with water, milk, or soda pop (called ‘Calpis’ in Japan). But, even pre-mixed as it is here in the US, it’s still my favorite soft drink… #calpico #calpis #groceryoutlet
