G, PonyhounD 🐴🐶Been absolutely obsessed with #Caillebotte ‘s 'Soldiers in the Woods' at AIC. But wow, only just noticed on visit #3 that there's a soldier with his bare bottom showing on the left! 😅
Caillebotte was really ahead of his time showing such unguarded moments. The vulnerability and naturalism… feels so real even 150+ years later.

Soffy SummersL'exposition "Caillebotte, peindre les hommes" montre la place des hommes et des femmes de l'époque dans les différents espaces : la rue, le domicile... Elle m'a fait penser à cet essai de Lauren Elkin : "Flâneuse, reconquérir la ville pas à pas", sur la difficulté des femmes à être légitimes dans la rue. Chaudement recommandé !
