Does anyone in my timeline have first-hand experience switching from #nginx to #caddyserver as proxy for a Django app (running in separate #Bastille jails under #FreeBSD)? If so, would you recommend switching?
We were happy to support #caddyserver again through our #WMACCESS #OpenSource Support Initiative 2025! 🚀
For us, Caddy was far more than a web server - it was a reliable and modern part of our tech stack. 🌐

It's only OK to be Opinionated Software if your Opinions are Good.

V2: reverse proxy to UNIX socket?

The syntax for unix socket addresses is different in v2. unix//run/gunicorn.sock See Conventions — Caddy Documentation

20 minutes lost because...

$ caddy run Caddyfile.local

...and...

$ caddy run -c Caddyfile.local

...both actually start and run, but the latter is actually the correct way to specify a Caddyfile.

Caddy's on_demand_tls is very cool. Going to be making heavy use of that on an upcoming project.

Can't quite figure out if #caddyserver itself or my bad understanding of its #json API are my painpoint, but feking grrrrrrr I'm sick of it.

Edit!
And now the twist - its #python mangling my otherwise valid data in flight! At least now I know what to debug.

@semurjengkol oalah, sama-sama #reverseproxy favorit kita ternyata #caddyserver
