#BuyNothingNewMonth is an awareness campaign by Keep Britain Tidy, encouraging UK citizens to avoid buying any new items for the month of January. It first started in January 2023 and has returned after helping people to consume less, helping to save items from landfill and reduce the strain on wallets. What Is #BuyNo

Es gibt übrigens viele gebrauchte, hergerichtete "refurbished" iPhones zu kaufen.
Süße Idee, aber auch "nachhaltiger Konsum" von neu produziertem Spielzeug muss nicht sein.
Es liegen Tonnen von Spielzeug ungenutzt herum.
Spielteppiche mit Radwegen und Schienen (und ja, sogar mit Grünflächen, Wasserwegen und Obstgärten) kenn ich schon lang, davon gibt es inzwischen auch viele gebrauchte. Lastenräder sind mir neu, aber Fahrräder, Roller und sogar Rollschuhe gibt's auch von Playmobil (und das Zeug von den großen Marken gibt's dann immer gleich auch massenhaft gebraucht). Holzeisenbahnteile müssen für die nächsten zwei oder drei Generationen nicht mehr produziert werden, so viel davon existiert jetzt schon.
Abgesehen davon ist für die Bewusstseinsbildung bei Kindern das Verhalten ihrer Umgebung viel wichtiger, als das Spielzeug. Sie werden ja auch nicht Piraten oder glauben, dass sie als Erwachsene auf Dinosauriern reiten können.
Es riecht ein bisschen nach "Es ist mir zu umständlich, mit dir mit dem Rad zum Kindergarten fahren, aber dafür kauf ich dir einen Spielteppich mit einem Spielzeugfahrrad".
